POPSloader in 2019?

Hi there! So, I’m back to a PSP (model 3000, love this thing!) and I was wondering what’s the state of POPSloader in 2019.
I’ve played through MGS without a problem, so if there is no problem with the PSX games I’m playing, should I bother with it? Is 3.71 still the best one for compatibility, for those games which don’t work great out of the box? Last, does using an ISO vs an EBOOT make any difference?
In case it matters, I’m running 6.61 pro-C.
