USB Headphones for Output on PS3

I recently finished building my computer and want to have my PS3 hooked up the HDMI input on my monitor so that when I want to play I just need to switch the input. I finished that, but need help with audio. I want to be able to plug my headset into my PS3 using USB so I can have game audio (I don't care about mic). I followed this and did as it says to, but when I hit okay and scroll I don't get the clicky sounds I usually do so I assume it isn't working. Does anyone know how to hookup a headset using USB to a PS3 for audio or did I miss something?
