Question about matrix mod

Hi, I bought a matrix modded ps2 off someone. I got myself an IDE connector and power supply which I connected the IDE HDD to my pc to put in some games but to my surprise, my pc shows the IDE HDD as an unknown HDD with "UNALLOCATED DISK SPACE" on disk management, or in short, I cannot see the games inside it. What's worse, when I put it back to the PS2, the games originally installed inside it are gone.

Any ideas what happened? or maybe, how can I put games on it again?
