I want to love my PS3 but I hate the dualshock 3; any high end alternatives?

I need a controller solution that doesn't suck, has a very good dpad, feels nice, supports sixaxis / gyro, and has at least some kind of workaround for button pressure.

In my dreams, I could use a PS5 Dualsense Edge controller with an adapter so that I could use the paddles as a pressure shift to deal with pressure sensitive button controls. Is there anything? I haven't done any custom firmware stuff, but I'd be willing to explore that if it would enable a solution.
