Pico not running code when restarting computer

I am making a macropad using the raspberry pi pico with CircuitPython 8.2.9. Everything works as it should except that when i start my computer with the macropad plugged in, it does not run the code on it. So to use my macropad, I have to unplug and replug my macropad every time I start my computer. It recognizes it and the CircuitPython drive is visable (when I don't hide it), but it won't run the code without a reset. How do I fix this?

I am on Windows 10
