Help with Streaming House of the Dead 2?

Hello! I just was wondering if anyone would have any knowledge about this subject. I tried to setup my House of the Dead 2 , to my game capture.

What I have:

-Dreamcast w/ AV & Mad Catz Light Gun

-Elgato Game Capture

-HDMI to AV

-AV to HDMI

-Double ended AV cords

-CRT TV

I followed this video on its instructions https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BzlouSITSec&t=395s

And it all worked perfectly! However, when I tried to shoot my light gun at the CRT TV, the gun wouldnt aim properly. It registered shots, but the aim was way off then where I was aiming. Should I get a new gun? New cords? Just unsure. Thanks for reading!
