THERMAL PADS

hey guys something the can to my mind is heating problem my dreamcast has. as you guys are aware i just got a dreamcast yesterday. so with that being said i would like to replace it thermal pads. how thick should i get the thermal pads? i prefer artic just so you know, i say artic because i trust their thermal paste. also can i get a reccomended fan for the sega dreamcast too as well please. idk what size the dreamcast fan is. if i do need to get a fan do i need to mod or is it simple as swaping it?
