PixelFX: Using HDMI, is audio still possible via video out?

[Released: 1998] Born out of Sega's darkest hour to decide whether the company stays in the hardware business. Even though it didn't officially last long in the US, it was continued selling in Japan and spawned some great 2D Japanese shooters.

PixelFX: Using HDMI, is audio still possible via video out?

Installed PixelFX on my Dreamcast and only have a monitor with no speakers to hand. Does the AV out still function in regards to analog audio? Was figuring using a cheap composite cable for the stereo breakaway cables.
