Burning DC games to CD-R

[Released: 1998] Born out of Sega's darkest hour to decide whether the company stays in the hardware business. Even though it didn't officially last long in the US, it was continued selling in Japan and spawned some great 2D Japanese shooters.

Burning DC games to CD-R

Post by /dreamcast »

hey y'all, got a problem. im trying to burn CDI files onto a disk (specifically, the unreleased Half-Life port). the disk worked the first time i tried, but now it's reading as an audio disk. i tried burning Utopia Boot Disk as well to see if that worked, but got the same results. currently i'm using HP brand CD-Rs, burning at 6x speed. from what i've found by myself already, a simple solution might be to burn at a slower speed (i'm fortunate enough that my driver supports burning at 1x speed if i need it to) or using a higher quality CD-R brand. so i'm just checking with the peeps here to see if there's anything else that might be the issue in case neither of those work. any help is greatly appreciated submitted by /u/cimmaninroll
