Xbox one controller range

[Released: 2013] Moving away from its predecessor's PowerPC-based architecture, the Xbox One marks a shift back to the x86 architecture used in the original Xbox; it features an AMD Accelerated Processing Unit (APU) built around the x86-64 instruction set.

Xbox one controller range

Post by /xboxone »

I have an Xbox one controller with really poor range, I have two other controllers and they work fine from any distance, the first controller though starts giving out only 6ft away. I have taken it apart and accidentally ripple the pad off the black signal wire between the boards but I soldered it back in place; also I’ve had the issue before I did that. The first controller is on the latest firmware, I haven’t updated the other two, don’t know what firmware they’re on. Does anyone have any idea what it might be?
