Added hard drive to xbox 360 slim not recognized.

[Released: 2013] Moving away from its predecessor's PowerPC-based architecture, the Xbox One marks a shift back to the x86 architecture used in the original Xbox; it features an AMD Accelerated Processing Unit (APU) built around the x86-64 instruction set.

Added hard drive to xbox 360 slim not recognized.

Post by /xboxone »

I recently got an old 2.5 inch hard drive (hitachi 250GB) that I was wanting to put into an xbox 360 slim but it doesn't recognize it when I put it in. If I use a usb adapter attached to it to connect it to the outside usb ports it does get recognized and I can format it but when I connect it in the hard drive slot it doesn't get recognized. I have tried making a 32 gb partition and formatting it to fat32 which doesn't work I have also tried NFTS and exFAT. I had an old 20GB xbox 360 drive that I can put in and it gets recognized. If I cloned the xbox drive onto the hitachi would it work? Is there something else I haven't done?
