Prime 2 price question

[Released: 2001] The GameCube, with the Game Boy Player attachment, it is able to play Game Boy/Color, and Game Boy Advance titles. It's successor, the Wii, supports backward compatibility. Panasonic released a DVD player hybrid Gamecube.

Prime 2 price question

In looking at getting the Metroid Prime games I noticed that Prime 2 is significantly more expensive than the other two. Why is this? I'm not upset about the price, just curious as to why it's more expensive than one and three. Did it not sell well in its initial release and end up becoming a rare title or is it simply deemed the best of the three and therefore more sought-after by collectors and enthusiasts alike?
