Can anyone help me with fatxplorer?

Long story short, my mod chipped OG Xbox dvd drive does not work so I cannot do the splinter cell install of unleashX or any other custom UI. I’ve had some people tell me that I can use fatxplorer to install unleashX. My new sata 500gb hdd drive (along with the other necessities) is set to arrive tomorrow. Can anyone do a easy breakdown on how to use fatxplorer to format it for use on my mod chipped Xbox as well as install unleashX? I figure that I do not need a working dvd drive if I’m able to install a bigger hard drive with unleashX as I’m able to play off the hard drive. Can anyone help me out? Thanks guys!
