Having problems updating my psp 1000

Having problems updating my psp 1000

Hello everyone.
I just bought a PSP 1000 and it currently has 4.01 M33-2. I think it is a cfw because there are some settings I can access by pressing R+ power button. I am trying to update it to 6.60 OFW but I am getting an error System configuration error (DRNFFFFFFCD).
I don't have a pandora battery though as I've seen in most tutorials. Is there any other way I can bring it back to 6.60 non cfw and install a new cfw?
