A button problems

I recently bought a pre-owned one x it came with a controller which it's a button randomly gets unresponsive like if I'm trying to press it just stops working and after a few seconds it works again if I am holding it down it'll go on and off on responsiveness and then just start working normally it just randomly happens when the button gets unresponsive.
