Warzone has been a very popular part of the Call of Duty experience over the past few years, so it’s natural that many may ask themselves whether the newly-released Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 includes Warzone or not.
[h=2]When Does Warzone 2.0 Release in CoD: MW2?[/h]The short answer to this question is “soon”. Warzone 2.0, is scheduled to release with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s season 1 on Nov. 16. The game launched without a Warzone experience.
When it launches, Warzone 2.0 will include a brand new DMZ experience and the traditional Battle Royale mode.
If you’re unfamiliar with DMZ, it’s an extraction sandbox mode in which you have to fight against both players and AI to exfiltrate with high-value loot.
It’s worth mentioning that a lot of details about this mode remain shrouded in mystery, so we’ll have to wait a bit longer to have the full picture.
Basically, Activision will release Warzone 2.0 a bit further into the life cycle of MW2, allowing players to enjoy the campaign and get acquainted with the traditional multiplayer before sinking their teeth into the Battle Royale experience and its brand new DMZ spin-off.
Of course, the base game is already available for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
