Questions about a japanese AC adapter for Gameboy

I recently bought an original japanese Gameboy adapter that according the seller, it's for Gameboy Pocket.
The model itself is MGB-005. Will it work on a GBC?I have no issues about the voltage since in my country is 220-240V and I have the converters.
