Saving my old PsP

Saving my old PsP

So I found my old PsP 3000 again, I lost my battery tho. I threw it away after it wouldnt turn on anymore. I was 12 :)
I think my old friends switched our PSP and he had a modded one. I suspect the one I have is bricked which is why it wont turn on.
I tried charging it through the regular port and usb, still nothing not even LED glowing faintly. So I checked the circuits and the electricity runs from every port to every possible part.
Do you guys have any clues on how to boot it again? Or what could be causing this?
