[Released: 2011] The 3DS is similar to the DS, but is capable of projecting stereoscopic 3D effects without the use of 3D glasses or additional accessories. A redesigned "XL" version of the console was also released.

so I recently sold my old 2ds so that I could buy a 2ds xl and I have called and searched every gamestop, bestbuy, target, Walmart in my area and i cant find one, did they discontinue it? or is there a shortage at the moment? I'd really like to pick one up before they get fully discontinued and buying online just isn't an option for me
