Two copies of double dash, only one can access save data

Post by /gamecube »

Third party memory card, blame 9 year old me. When using the copy I grew up with, the save data reads no problem. When using the alternate copy, the game tells me that the save file is damaged, only letting me play without saving or loading previous data. Both discs are for use in the US, along with the Wii I am testing them on. The only difference is that one disc says M2S3 and the other M1S4 in small but heavily defined print on the underside of the disc, near the inner rim. If anyone has good leads to why this occurs, let me know.
