Japanese Famicom compatibility in UK (Power supply etc)

[Released: 1990] The SNES was the best-selling console of the 16-bit era despite its relatively late start and the fierce competition it faced. The console was able to run some of the first three-dimensional video games on consoles, beginning with Star Fox.

Japanese Famicom compatibility in UK (Power supply etc)

Post by /snes »

I know that the super famicom is region locked so Im not talking about compatibility in that sense but with stuff like power.

If I import a super famicom to the UK do I need to do stuff to make sure its getting the right power with the amount of power and type of power like AC and DC (I dont know much about power).
Could I just purchase an adapter that allows me to plug the Japanese plug into a UK socket?
Is there anything else that I need to account for because I heard that if you dont do something about power conversion that it could damage or break the console.
