Games crash when entering game engine with XenoGC/SD2SP2

Post by /gamecube »

Hi everyone,
I've recently got a new modded PAL Gamecube with XenoGC and sd2sp2 and have been running into a problem that's driving me mad.
I'm booting swiss from a disk and loading games from my Sandisk SD card without any problem, and all the games boot fine until I reach the point where the gameplay starts or the game engine starts after the opening cutscene. At this point, some games just give me a black screen with sound or crash completely (Wind Waker or Metroid Prime), some play with huge visual glitches (Double Dash) and a few just seem to work fine (Luigi's Mansion). The console appears to be playing normal gamecube games fine.
Things I've tried without any improvement:
  • Change swiss settings to any combination possible
  • Change swiss version including the one matching the disk's version
  • Change SD card
  • Use ISOs from different sources
  • Use PAL and NTSC ISOs
  • Clean SD card port and video cable sockets
  • Use Nkit to convert nkit ISOs to ISOs and the other way around
  • Format my SD cards to exFAT, FAT32 32kpbs, 64kbps and 128 kbps
  • Booting games in 50 and 60Hz mode
I'm kind of lost at this point, so I hope maybe one of you has one or two things for me to try and fix this. Thanks in advance !
