Why wont my Gamecube memory card get detected

[Released: 2001] The GameCube, with the Game Boy Player attachment, it is able to play Game Boy/Color, and Game Boy Advance titles. It's successor, the Wii, supports backward compatibility. Panasonic released a DVD player hybrid Gamecube.

my GCN memory card which is not third party apparently will not get detected and until now it only did not get detected on super monkey ball idk if this has any significance but any suggestions/potential solutions are helpful
