A new A Plague Tale: Requiem story trailer has been released ahead of the game’s October 18 release date. The two-minute trailer is packed full of emotion, ranging from the glee of children playing, to devastation at various tragedies, to anger and the yearning for revenge.

While the new story trailer understandably keeps a lid on the story spoilers, it is made clear that Amicia and Hugo are journeying to a mysterious island in the hope of ending Hugo’s curse. Upon finding the island, they discover it to be both beautiful and terrifying.
Developer Asobo Studio is going all-in on A Plague Tale: Requiem’s story with no “filler” content dragging things down. The trailer shows a wide range of settings and characters, all of which the player will encounter during the 15-18 hour campaign.
Though the trailer focuses primarily on story elements, viewers are given a few tastes of epic set pieces as rats pour out from all sides.
The PS5 DualSense controller should further immerse players into the story, with the developer “doubling down” on haptic feedback.
As mentioned in the intro, A Plague Tale: Requiem is set to launch on October 18. There isn’t long to go!
