[h=2]PS4 update 10 DLC issue solution[/h]
As discovered by Reddit user SegaJAM, players don’t have to reinstall the content (sorry if you’ve already gone through that). All you have to do is temporarily stop your console from using your extended storage and then re-scan your external drive. Simple! Follow these steps:
- Hold the PS Button while on the Dashboard
- Go to Sound/Devices and select Stop Using Extended Storage
- Once confirmed, you’ll receive a message stating that your external drive can be safely removed, but there’s no need to unplug it!
- Restart your PS4
- Let the PS4 reboot and scan your external drive, and your DLC will magically work again
- If you are updating your PlayStation®4 console via the internet, go to Settings > System Software Update and retry the update.
- If you are updating via a USB storage device, please try updating your system via the internet. Go to Settings > System Software Update > Update via Internet.
- If this isn’t possible, please re-download the latest update using a web browser. You’ll need to install the using a USB storage device, and the correct folder structure.
- If you are still experiencing issues updating the system software, please attempt to update via Safe Mode (Option 3).
