Is there any reason to change the CPU clock or is it just gonna do fine sitting at 100 !

Is the CPU????????????*clock rush something to care about now with cores like Neon Xtreme? There's this quite detailed guide about the optimal clock speed, but does it still apply? Is there any point in messing around with the clock speed, is it fine to just leave it at 100?
