How does electricity flow through the Pi when it is connected to a power source?

The Raspberry Pi is a series of credit card-sized single-board computers developed in the United Kingdom by the Raspberry Pi Foundation to promote the teaching of basic computer science in schools and developing countries.

How does electricity flow through the Pi when it is connected to a power source?

Post by /RaspberryPi »

The RPI foundation already has documentation on the boot sequence of the RPI when the pixies get to the BCM2711 chip, but what about before then. When I plug the USB-C charger into my PI, electricity starts flowing. But what path does it travel through before it gets to the cpu. Obviously the first step in the chain for electricity is through the charging port. But then what?
