different network bridge question

Post by /RaspberryPi »

Ok I have looked at all the network bridge posts but here is what I am trying to do with my PI and cannot find one to make it work.

I have a Xfitity wifi that is lets say giving off network 192.168.1.1 and is providing DHCP already for over 50 devices. I need to get Ethernet access to a few machines in my remote office (Printer and NAS). I would like the printer and NAS to be on teh 192.168.1.1 network as I need to be able to access them from all over the house and not just on a private DHCP network offered by the raspberry PI. How can I make the Raspberry PI access the wireless network provided by Xfinity and get a 192.168.1.x static IP address?

Please help I am at witts end.
