WD My book slows down extremely when transferring data

WD My book slows down extremely when transferring data

I've hooked up a WD My book 14tb to my RPi4 8GB via USB 3.0 but everytime I transfer data it doesn't go faster than 10mb/s and drops to 0 in a matter of seconds. I've formatted the drive to ext4 and tried the original exFat format but nothing seems to help.
Does anyone has experience with this, am I doing something wrong?
