Large LED Time/Temp Display Sign?

I'm having trouble finding a project/tutorial for something like the old bank/town center time and temp displays.
Ideally, I'd like a very large LED controlled by any model pi that shows the current time and temperature, cycling ever 5 seconds or so.
I have a pi 4 and zero wh. What would be a good single color LED - maybe 2ft x 3ft large?
Assuming I'd use Rasbian, pull current weather from somewhere, feed it out to the led sign?
Thanks - not sure where to get started. I'd like to hear thoughts, not just existing projects.
