Fake megadrive games flooding the market is a bad thing...

when i google search a japanese.megadrive game, result will be filled with aliexpress, i am sure they are copies despite havimg the box, cover, manuals and carts however they dont label them as copies.
i have only had 2 copied games many years ago, they did not come with manuals so that is a giveaway, the box also had different internals noticeable around the inner spine (original uses few designs but fake cases looks rougher).
meaning the market is probably filled with fakes making it as difficult as finding original neca ninja turtles off the net.
any tips on how to spot these fakes? buy from japan sellers?
dont know if same issue going on for genesis?
the only dead away for earlier games would be the manuals have printed holes instead of actual punch holes like alex kidd.
