Looking for sci-fi/futurist/dystopian game recommendations

[Released: 1988] The Sega Genesis was Sega's most successful console; though Sega has never released a total sales figure quote. Several add-ons were created including the Sega CD and Sega 32X which extended its capabilities.

Not just for Genesis but for 8 and 16bit consoles in general.
I'm a huge fan of Shadowrun, Another World, Flashback, Blackthorne, Alien 3, Metroid... games that are just gritty like Mortal Kombat, Batman Returns, Doom Troopers... or have this punkish atmosphere like Streets of Rage and Rock n' Roll Racing...
So, looking for recommendations of cool stuff to check, thanks :)
