Sonic 3 & Knuckles saves not working

[Released: 1988] The Sega Genesis was Sega's most successful console; though Sega has never released a total sales figure quote. Several add-ons were created including the Sega CD and Sega 32X which extended its capabilities.

Sonic 3 & Knuckles saves not working

Hello, my copies of Sonic 3 & Knuckles saves aren't working, which sucks considering how big the game is. Every time I reset the console, or turn it off and on again, the save is blank. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem and if you have any possible fixes for this issue.
