KoF98 MVS cart not working on Phantom 1 converter on Japanese MVS

Hi! All my carts work with this setup except for KoF98! The cart is worked on an MVS 2 weeks ago from before it was sent to me...
Now I know not all carts work on these converters, I know Metal Slug X does not work, that in kind of infamous because of some chips but I've never heard this about KoF98. Im mean KoF 99 and 2001 work....
Is there anyone here with a similar setup that has some insights?
