Arcade Stick Game Unlocks (Error) — ?

On the arcade stick pro, followed all directions but the games didn’t unlock or even list. Can only a certain amount be unlocked at a time? Does the usb have to be formatted a certain way in advance or the arcade stick won’t read it?
