Just got a New 2DS XL...why do I feel like it’s cheaply made?

[Released: 2011] The 3DS is similar to the DS, but is capable of projecting stereoscopic 3D effects without the use of 3D glasses or additional accessories. A redesigned "XL" version of the console was also released.

I know the 2DS family has been a cheaper version of the 3DS counterpart, but when I picked up mine today it felt a little off. I can’t help but feel like it was so fragile, and I don’t know if it’s me but I’ve had a New 3DS XL and I just don’t feel like the screen looked as good. I never played 3D mode at all but I can’t help but feel like the N3DSXL was just better in every way, especially the feel of the unit.
