Is the Nintendoman build the BEST psx set up?? But can a retroarch build allow for the save states like the original UI.

Wondering what you all think. Just found this and am blown away. Only thing I worry about is I like the ability to have the 3 save states the original UI has rather than always having to use the memory card (sometime I wanna save where there’s not a save point you know?) and with a retroarch based build I’m not sure that’s an option. But wow. I’m really considering scraping everything and putting this on my psx it looks SO amazing.
