Any 3DS owners having increasingly frequent "error, hold power", delete and redownload to fix problems?

[Released: 2011] The 3DS is similar to the DS, but is capable of projecting stereoscopic 3D effects without the use of 3D glasses or additional accessories. A redesigned "XL" version of the console was also released.

I'm up to about six games now that have given me the error to hold power and the only fix is to delete and redownload. It's frustrating since Nintendo is usually very solid with their software and it leaves me worried for the inevitable closure of the 3DS market.
