I can't get bleemsync to recognize my ps4 controller?

I'm using an 8bitdo wireless adaptor, and it'll pair, but any button I press does nothing.
No matter what, it's always stuck on the title screen. The.. Before it goes into the menu with the games and settings and whatnot.
How do I fix this? The usb got a bit hot and now doesn't want to boot into bleemsync all the time, but that shouldn't affect the 8bitdo adaptor.
