Picked up my First PSC. Which tools to use?

Hey all, so I just received my first PSC and I'm looking forward to mod it. Needing some advice first however. I've been reading the classic mods site as well as this subreddit in hope of finding some specific advice but the consensus seems to be personal preference.
I'm looking to use the PSC to play PS1 games only. With that and the simplicity of Autobleem, I figured I'd go that route as opposed to BleemSync. However, I've read that through Autobleem the game library is hit or miss and that I'd have more luck using Retroboot or BleemSync to access specific games. I have a list of about 200 games I'm wanting to add, some more obscure than others so this is a bit concerning.
Any advice on which tool to use, as well as specific USB model or if a USB power adapter is needed would be great as well. Thanks.
