Emulation on PS Classic vs PS3

I recently got a slim PS3 from a friend and was wondering if anyone had compared retro emulation performance between the PSC and PS3. Would running Retroarch on PS3 offer any noticeable improvement in performance (or any other aspects)? Would love to see people's thoughts!
