Can I transfer save files from ps1 to ps2 using the same card?

Can I transfer save files from ps1 to ps2 using the same card?

So I’m currently playing some games on my ps1, but in a few weeks I’ll only have access to a ps2 so my question is, can I use the same ps1 card on a ps2 and resume the progress I had made?
