Booting US CD-Games on PC Engine CD Rom2

The CD-ROM² is an add-on attachment for the PC Engine that was released in Japan in 1988 and allows the core versions of the console to play PC Engine games in CD-ROM format in addition to standard HuCards. This made the PC Engine the first video game console to use CD-ROMs as a storage media.

Booting US CD-Games on PC Engine CD Rom2

Post by /turboG16 »

Hello! I just got a PC Engine with CD-Rom2 interface unit in today, and I only own one game at the moment -- a US version of Ys Book 1 & 2. The system came with a Super System Card 3.0. While the system books to the BIOS menu just fine, when I try to load Ys Books 1 & 2 it seems to hang on a black screen. Is it a BIOS problem?
