I need help

[Released: 2011] The 3DS is similar to the DS, but is capable of projecting stereoscopic 3D effects without the use of 3D glasses or additional accessories. A redesigned "XL" version of the console was also released.

I have a new 3ds xl and the 3D effect is all messed up, like completely blurry no matter what. I've tried to calibrate the super stable 3D but the console won't let me, I keep getting a message saying the super stable 3D is not functioning correctly. I don't know what to do and Nintendo's tech support is off for the holiday. Please help me.
