Question regarding RGB and S-Video Setup

Post by /n64 »

Hey everyone!
I have a question about my setup and RGB. I currently have an NS2 Funtastic Console running good quality S-Video cable into a RetroTink 2x and then mClassic. I recently learned about the Tim Worthington RGB mod that works with my console.
My question is this Should I decide to stay with the exact video chain I'm running right now, would I see any improvement in colors just by having that mod installed even if it is bypassed using S-Video? I wasn't sure if this mod had any passive effects.
I already invested in the Tink and mClassic, I'm just trying to find any other mods that I could do to further improve the quality of the system in that existing S-Video chain since ultra HDMI is not around right now for an affordable price.
If the Worthington board has no benefit, should I just use that same money and spring for Official Nintendo S-Video cables from Japan instead?
Any help is insanely appreciated! Thank you!
