Nincade Wireless Controller Lag

I bought a couple of the Nincades to mod my Famicom-mini with and have them synced to wireless PS4 controllers. The controller one works well but there is significant lag with the second controller to the point it is unplayable. The weird thing is Nincade sent me these and the packaging inside and outside were completely different from one another. Like, did I get an older one and a newer one? Don't know if that matters, but has anyone else that modded their mini with these encounter this issue? What do I do?
