Turbografx Cd repair

[Released: 1988] The CD-ROM² is an add-on attachment that allows the core versions of the console to play PC Engine games in CD-ROM format in addition to standard HuCards. This made the PC Engine the first video game console to use CD-ROMs as a storage media.

Turbografx Cd repair

Post by /turboG16 »

So I have Turbografx cd North American model. When I play games the the system doesn’t read the discs, the laser has been replaced, the head goes up and down, and the red laser appears, the caps have been inspected and some have been replaced as needed. The gear that can often break on these has also been replaced. The system otherwise works perfectly fine. When I hit the run button the system attempts to read the game inserted and the motor moves alittle but for a spilt second then stops, the system will continue to try and read the disc then stop and ask for a disc to be inserted. Any ideas on what it could be?
