Power plugs

Just to follow up on my last post, found a good priced US SMS (original blockier one) and was wondering whether there were any differences in the power plugs on the SMS 1 and 2 in Europe, since I own a plug from a SMS 2 and don't want to break anything I buy :) I was told that with the Genesis you just plug in the uk power supply to the us console and presume it's the same here though any advice if that's wrong would be fantastic
