Xbox one and pc game share. Is this possible?

My son is wanting the game cuphead. I would also like to play it but I'm on PC he is on Xbox one. Could I buy cuphead from the Xbox play anywhere on my pc and share the play anywhere on Xbox with him on family share? Or can that not be done?
