Initial d6 linking

How does one link two imitial d6 ringedge?

Crossover cable?
normal.ethernet cable connection?

I get error 8002, tried.setting.static.ip

192.168.1.1. And 192.168.1.2 on.each.

Set one.to.A1 and other to A2.

Get 8002 error.


Any help appreciated
